Hollywood superstar and Tony winner Denzel Washington is about to begin performances in the Broadway revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s all-American classic play A Raisin in the Sun, so stopped by The Tonight Show to talk about the “actors medium” that is theater. Washington is playing the role that Oscar winner Sidney Poitier originated on the Great White Way back in 1959, and revealed to Jimmy Fallon that he had been “hanging out at his [Poitier's] house a little bit,” picking up some tips. The stage and screen star also had the audience in stitches as he described how it’s essential to “keep going” in theater no matter what.
